We aim to promote all expressions of Russian tradition from music to literature. We’ve hosted many fabulous events you may read about at our
Journal of Past Events. Below are some of our current programs.
Research shows that a study of the humanities promotes communication and understanding among people. This multi-disciplinary series introduces members to performing arts, book readings, lectures and film screenings. Through programs like these, we’re strengthening our roots and sharing our diversity and creativity with others.
Archival Preservation Project
We’re collecting documents and artwork brought to America by generations of Russian immigrants. We believe it important to preserve these treasures, and by extension, our history. All donations to the archive are tax-deductible.
ARTIST CAREER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM – Helps emerging artists by giving them promotion and exposure in the Washington music scene. Opportunities to record, perform and advertise are available for local Russian-American musicians. The RCC is proud to support artists like the Russian folk dancing group
Ivan-da-Maria.
THE INTERNATIONAL YOUNG ARTIST REGISTRY – An online database of international artists accompanied by an exhibition series and an annual collaborative project with Washington immigrant communities.
YARMARKA – Yarmarka is an annual festival featuring Russian-American bands, cuisine and food from many regions of Russia.

We’re constantly expanding our program offerings and looking for support from artists, musicians and authors. We’re also welcoming volunteers and corporate sponsors.
